We have our first guest on SELebrate Today! We have the privilege of learning a new strategy from local celebrity and comedian, Jim Stewart Allen, known for his stand up, playing Oregon Trail Live, and recently his sweet dance moves with vegetables at sporting events.

It took a lot of bravery for me to post the silly end of this video, but it absolutely filled my bucket, and I hope it inspires you to join in and post/send me your dance party videos!

Last week we asked you to come up with your own Kindness Challenges. You had so many great ideas!! This week, we are doing a challenge that Meher, from Mrs. Rodabough's class, came up with. Thanks for the great idea Meher!

Heartbeat Exercise Mindfulness

​

1. Feel your heartbeat. Notice how fast it is, how hard it's beating, where you feel it in your body. 

2. Do some aerobic exercise for 15-20 seconds

3. Put your hand on your heart and belly, and feel your breath/heartbeat

4. Slow down your breath, and notice how it slows your heartbeat!

With this as the last video this school year, and Ms. Ballard's and Mrs. Blashaw's last video at Sunset (we will both be at different schools next year), we want to share how proud of you we are. You are resilient, caring, determined, and such awesome humans. We will always be cheering for your success, and we can't wait to hear of all you achieve. We will miss you, and we are so grateful for each of you and your families!
